The Xair construction technique has been developed and improved over the last 20 year period that Raj Hamsa has been manufacturing kits. The airframes consists of aluminium tubes bolted into welded steel brackets, fibreglass panels with wings and fuselage covered in sailcloth. All Alloy tubes are either white powder coated or anodized and the steel brackets are zinc plated. The result is a kit that is easy to build where all the holes are predrilled and the relevant fasteners are placed in position. The kit is supplied with a comprehensive build manual, which contains diagrams as well as written instructions and a fully illustrated parts book. There is also a help line available for anyone who needs advice during the build. The Facts. The Hawk has a large cabin with full dual controls (brakes only on P1 side). Very good visibility. Large easy access doors. Adjustable contoured seats. Excellent short field capability. Easy wing removal or folding for storage. Very good cruise speed (85knts+) and fuel burn as little as 12 litres /hr. |
